Dieter, there's no need to hide configuration files when there're no secret
informations (or change permissions to ALL opensuse users via maintenance
update).
I can't reproduce this bug. When I configure wlan device _WITH_ password
(contains some keys from comment#7) it's chmod-ed to 0600, other files are
0644.
This is correct behavior.

Please do following:
- remove your wlan configuration
- start yast with debug (Y2DEBUG=1 yast2 lan)
- configure your wlan (with fake password)
- attach /var/log/YaST2/* logs (or just files with today's date)
