Sorry, but I don't see or understand the problem.
Concerning 1):
If you enter the expert partitioner (it is mentioned that this part is for
experts) you must know what formatting and mount point means.
Otherwise you can select the partitions where the system should be installed
and don't have to set format options or mount points.
Concerning 2):
The summery clearly lists all actions with device names, e.g. "Format
partition /dev/sda2 for /home".
Could be that some users do not understand all of this. If you have an idea
how to present these information to users who have no idea about hard disk,
partitions, file systems, mount points and the like feel free to make a
feature request.
