http://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=627438 http://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=627438#c0 Summary: akonadi/kontact hiding contact data Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 11.3 Version: Final Platform: x86-64 OS/Version: openSUSE 11.3 Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: KDE4 Applications AssignedTo: kde-maintainers@suse.de ReportedBy: plewe@lst.de QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: --- Blocker: --- User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (compatible; Konqueror/4.4; Linux) KHTML/4.4.4 (like Gecko) SUSE I added my traditional addressbook file (std.vcf) as address resource to kontact. All information in this file is displayed correctly. When I edit/add contacts in this resource, however, the changes are apparently not written into that file. The changes survive a restart of kontact. Some wild grepping indicates that the new information ends up somewhere in local/share/akonadi/db_data/ Now, I would expect that changes I make to one resource to end up in that resource. That it gets written to a random different place looks like a bug to me. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.Import addressbook file. 2.Change something (add a contact, e.g.) 3.Look into that file. The new contact is not in there Actual Results: See 3. above Expected Results: I would expect the changes to be written into the resource I'm working with. Or at least have a button labelled "save", which writes changes into the resource. Manually exporting all contacts through a long wizard dialogue into a different file is a bit... inconvenient (I don't dare to write them into the original file for fear of a recursion). -- Configure bugmail: http://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
