http://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=621543 http://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=621543#c0 Summary: kernel:HEAD hangs during suspend to RAM (Lenovo x200s, i915 graphics) Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 11.3 Version: RC 2 Platform: Other OS/Version: Other Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Kernel AssignedTo: kernel-maintainers@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: seife@novell.slipkontur.de QAContact: qa@suse.de CC: rjw@novell.com Found By: Community User Blocker: --- Created an attachment (id=375216) --> (http://bugzilla.novell.com/attachment.cgi?id=375216) lsmod - from kernel 2.6.34-12.1 Running kernel-desktop-2.6.35-rc4.7.1.x86_64, my Lenovo X200s hangs now during suspend to RAM, at the moment when I'd expect it to switch off (switched to console 1, text mode visible). It's a CPU-burning hard lockup, with Fans running at full speed after a few seconds and Magic SysRq not working. Nothing in the logs of course ;) "s2ram -f" / "echo mem > /sys/power/state" works well from a minimal "init=/bin/bash" system (with kms active), so this might be a driver problem. I'll attach a lsmod and lspci from the machine. This did not happen with the 2.6.35-rc3 based kernel-desktop from kernel:HEAD. The machine suspends and resumes fine with the 11.3/FACTORY 2.6.34 kernel (kernel-default, but I don't think this makes a difference). I know that this is probably not enough information for debugging, but I woanted to notify you of the problem ;) I'll be on vacation for 3 weeks, and have unfortunately probably no way of testing other kernels or bisecting the problem. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
