http://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=619753 http://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=619753#c0 Summary: Akonadi Nepomuk Contact Feeder agent shows "Nepomuk not operational" status Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 11.3 Version: RC 2 Platform: i686 OS/Version: openSUSE 11.3 Status: NEW Severity: Major Priority: P5 - None Component: KDE4 Applications AssignedTo: kde-maintainers@suse.de ReportedBy: neil@darlow.co.uk QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: --- Blocker: --- User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-GB; rv:1.9.2.4) Gecko/20100611 SUSE/3.6.4-3.2 Firefox/3.6.4 KMail is configured to use the Akonadi-based Personal Contacts addressbook. Attempting to send mail to a Distribution List (Group) defined in Personal Contacts fails with the Group mail address being treated as a local address instead of being expanded to its member mail addresses. Examining the status of the Nepomuk Contact Feeder agent in akonadiconsole shows a status of: Nepomuk not operational. The semantic desktop (Nepomuk) and desktop search (Strigi) have been enabled in the System Settings utility and Akonadi is using the Virtuoso backend. The running nepomuk processes are: 2028 ? Sl 0:00 /usr/bin/akonadi_nepomuk_contact_feeder --identifier akonadi_nepomuk_contact_feeder Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Define Group and Group-member mail addresses in Akonadi-based Personal Contacts 2. Attempt to send a mail to the Group and observe server 5.1.1 error 3. Examine Akonadi Nepomuk Contact Feeder agent status using akonadiconsole Actual Results: Nepomuk is observed as being not operational. Expected Results: Mail should be sent to the Group member addresses. Instead the Group address is interpreted as a local address. I have observed the general error of not being able to send mail to Groups in other GNU/Linux distributions. The causes have been many and varied but seeing Nepomuk not operational for the Contact Feeder agent is new to me in openSUSE. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
