You want me to compile the new grub with an old compiler?
Normally I would consider dependencies on the register allocation
a bug in grub, not in the compiler.
Not sure what a DOS ddt is? Please give details what I should do.
Should LBA changes cause a triple fault?
sda1 is an old partition with 10.2 grub that works, the 11.3 is on sda4
and if I switch the bootable flag to that the problem happens.
Partitioning:
Disk /dev/sda: 500.1 GB, 500107862016 bytes
255 heads, 63 sectors/track, 60801 cylinders
Units = cylinders of 16065 * 512 = 8225280 bytes
Sector size (logical/physical): 512 bytes / 512 bytes
I/O size (minimum/optimal): 512 bytes / 512 bytes
Disk identifier: 0x00000000
Device Boot Start End Blocks Id System
/dev/sda1 * 1 2873 23077341 83 Linux
/dev/sda2 5473 5716 1959930 82 Linux swap / Solaris
/dev/sda3 5717 60801 442470262+ 8e Linux LVM
/dev/sda4 2874 5472 20876467+ 83 Linux
Partition table entries are not in disk order
