The BCM57780 works in the openSUSE 11.2 Factory, though the graphics were the big issue, had to do text install just to get it to work, but it would update. Upon updating 11.2 to a new kernel 2.6.34.rc4, breaking the Broadcom Netlink BCM57780. /etc/modprobe.d/modprobe.conf install tg3 /sbin/modprobe broadcom; /sbin/modprobe --ignore-install tg3 Above fixes the issue in 11.2 with the 2.6.34.rc4 kernel Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.Boot up GNOME Live 11.3 Milestone 5 2. 3. Actual Results: Start the GNOME Live 11.3 Milestone 5, during boot, there is some tg3 error: tg3.c:v3.108 (February 17, 2010) tg3 0000:02:00.0:PCI INT A -> GSI 16 (level,low) -> IRQ 16 tg3 0000:02:00.0:setting latency timer to 64 tg3 mdio bus:probed tg3 0000:02:00.0:(unregistered net_device):No PHY devices tg3 0000:02:00.0:(unregistered net_device):Problem fetching invariants of chip, aborting tg3 0000:02:00.0:PCI INT A disabled Finishing loading desktop, no wired connection available.
