--- Comment #1 from Reinhard Max 2010-04-21 12:12:13 CEST ---
I am not yet able to reproduce this. Neither with vncviewer from 11.2 nor from
11.1 (running on the same machine as Xvnc), and also not with a RealVNC client
from OpenSolaris I happened to have at hand (running on a different machine).
Can you please provide the following additional information:
1. The output of vncviewer on startup, so that I can see which encoding is
being used.
2. The fvwm2 config you are using in Xvnc. You can leave out stuff like
personalised menues for privacy reasons, as I am mainly interested in the
configuration of the window manager itseld.
BTW, if the problem is really caused by the rubber-band windows, a workaround
might be to configure fvwm2 for an automatic window placement style, so that no
rubberbands appear when a new windo is created. See the "Window Manager
placement" section in the fvwm2 manual page for details. To also avoid
rubber-bands when moving windows, set "OpaqueMoveSize unlimited" if not done
already.
