http://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=597971 http://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=597971#c0 Summary: Automatically selecting my Input device. Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 11.2 Version: Final Platform: 32bit OS/Version: openSUSE 11.2 Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Sound AssignedTo: tiwai@novell.com ReportedBy: belal.mandurah@gmail.com QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: --- Blocker: --- User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.9.1.9) Gecko/20100317 SUSE/3.5.9-0.1.1 Firefox/3.5.9 Currently, I have to go every time to the sound preferences and select my input device whenever I disconnect/reconnect my USB Camera with the built in mic. The system detect it but does not select it automatically. I have to do it manually. In the Device list there are: 1- Internal Audio Analog Stereo. 2- QuickCam E2500 series Analog Mono. so when I disconnect my USB cam/mic, I will be left with the Internal Audio device and the system select it because it is the only one left. Even though I dont have a mic connected to that device. when I plug the USB back, the system detect the new device and it will be listed under the devices, but does not select my plugged USB cam/mic automatically. If you can make a "make default" button, and also make the system remembers my selection, even when I disconnect it. Or if you have a smart way so the system can select my input automatically when plugged in. I dont know if this is a bug or a feature. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.Connect a USB cam/mic only. 2. Disconnect USB. 3. Reconnect USB. Actual Results: System does not selected the plugged device automatically in any of the steps. Expected Results: Select the connected device automatically. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
