.. somewhat later in this sphere:
It seems to be that the rtc kernel module is not loaded (at least not at the
right time) when ACPI is disabled.
One can force the system to load this module at boot time by modifying
/etc/sysconfig with the sysconfig editor via YAST.
Here one has to edit in the -> system -> kernel submenu the variable
MODULES_LOADED_ON_BOOT
and fill it with the parameter
rtc_cmos
(So maybe one can close this bug and sell it as a feature ? ;)
