http://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=584612 http://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=584612#c0 Summary: gnome-do denial-of-service against .xsession-errors Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 11.3 Version: Milestone 2 Platform: x86-64 OS/Version: openSUSE 11.3 Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: GNOME AssignedTo: bnc-team-gnome@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: gp@novell.com QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: Product Management Blocker: --- Something is running a denial-of-service against ~/.xsession-errors on a test system of mine with some 100 lines of the following kind every two minutes: [Error 11:42:35.862] Could not load desktop item: libgnome-desk [Error 11:42:35.862] Could not load desktop item: libgnome-desk [Error 11:42:35.862] Could not load desktop item: libgnome-desk [Error 11:42:35.862] Could not load desktop item: libgnome-desk followed by Could not read Gnome Bookmarks file /suse/gp/.gtk-bookmarks: Could not find file "/suse/gp/.gtk-bookmarks". This is my KDE test environment running FACTORY where I am seeing it the second time. I have never seen it in my GNOME test environment (nor my GNOME production environment on 11.2) which may be pure luck, though. The system indeed doesn't have libgnome-desktop-2.so.11: % find /usr -name libgnome-desktop* /usr/lib64/libgnome-desktop-2.so.17.0.1 /usr/lib64/libgnome-desktop-2.so.7.2.4 /usr/lib64/libgnome-desktop-2.so.7 /usr/lib64/libgnome-desktop-2.so.17 /usr/share/libgnome-desktop /usr/share/doc/packages/libgnome-desktop-2-17 After running killall -STOP gnome-do this stopped. And just to be sure: % zypper ps | grep libgnome % -- Configure bugmail: http://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
