http://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=584095 http://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=584095#c0 Summary: samba share umount times out on shutdown Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 11.2 Version: Final Platform: Other OS/Version: Other Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Network AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: sven.burmeister@gmx.net QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: --- Blocker: --- User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux x86_64; de; rv:1.9.1.8) Gecko/20100204 SUSE/3.5.8-0.1.1 Firefox/3.5.8 If I shutdown I am told that unmounting the samba share which is part of my fstab timed out and the shutdown process pauses for ~30 seconds or something like that. I noticed that NetworkManager is shutdown before cifs/smb shares are unmounted. could the latter be the reason, i.e. the network connection is shutdown before the network shares are unmounted? If I do a umount /path/to/share manually it works instantly.
