[Bug 575362] When updating (or installing) kernel, it insists of loading by device instead of existing label in grub menu.lst

I did check of yast logs in comment#5. It is correct label is set.

During update of kernel yast2-bootloader is not called and you in
perl-Bootloader handle "root" yourself. It is cause why it is different from

I don't know how looks like /etc/fstab and if perl-Bootloader tries to check
also /etc/fstab during update of kernel.

BTW option "root" is not saved in /etc/sysconfig/bootloader. Return me bug back
if you want to add option "root" to /etc/sysconfig/bootloader otherwise the
problem could be in perl-Bootloader or in yast2-storage and saving device names
in /etc/fstab
