User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; de; rv:1.9.2.0)
Gecko/20100115 SUSE/3.6.0-1.2 Firefox/3.6

Since installing the last kernel update for 11.2, X11 does not start on boot
anymore.
If i do a manual "modprobe -vr nvidia && modprobe -v nvidia; rcxdm restart"
after boot (as root), X starts as expected.

dmesg output:

Kernel driver in use: nvidia

additional info: I have 2 laptops with geforce 9 cards that do NOT show this
behaviour. might only happen on GF8 cards...

note to sndirsch:
according to the driver readme suse/novell is responsible for the rpm
packages...

Reproducible: Sometimes

Steps to Reproduce:
1. install 11.2 + updates on a machine with a geforce 8
2. install latest nvidia driver
3. start the machine in runlevel 5
Actual Results:
in 3 out of 4 cases you'll end up textmode, and have to do a manual "reset" of
the driver module:
modprobe -vr nvidia && modprobe nvidia && rcxdm restart

Expected Results:
X11 should start on every boot
