http://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=574214 http://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=574214#c0 Summary: rndis_host fails to transfer data Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 11.2 Version: Final Platform: i686 OS/Version: openSUSE 11.2 Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Kernel AssignedTo: kernel-maintainers@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: wolfgang@rosenauer.org QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: --- Blocker: --- I'm trying to connect through a Windows CE device as 3G modem to the internet. That basically works for a second and very limited amount of data being transferred. It completely stops if a bigger chunk of data is to be received (or sent?). I found http://lodge.glasgownet.com/2009/05/31/rndis-modem-linux/ which exactly describes my issue. Probably _just_ MTU related. The fix looks rather easy but it's based on the synce rndis_host driver instead of the authoritative one in the kernel ;-) It's rather unfortunate that I have to boot into Windows to use the modem.
