http://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=574184 http://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=574184#c0 Summary: nautilus desktop became Home and can't turn it back to ~/Desktop Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 11.2 Version: Final Platform: x86-64 OS/Version: openSUSE 11.2 Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: GNOME AssignedTo: bnc-team-gnome@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: boucher.samuel.c@gmail.com QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: Community User Blocker: --- Created an attachment (id=338995) --> (http://bugzilla.novell.com/attachment.cgi?id=338995) A picture of gconf-editor config to explain the problem /apps/nautilus/preferences/desktop_is_home_dir is false by default however if it get true the feature can't be remove even if you put it false in ~/.gconf/apps/nautilus/preferences/%gconf.xml. So you can't remove the icon from the desktop. I tried to reinstall nautilus it didn't change anything. The fist i got the problem i realize ~ was not anymore in nautilus shortcut (the panel on the left with Desktop, network, trash etc) I had the problem on 1 account I tried to deleted stuff like .gconf in ~ and it didn't change anything, so I created a second account and the feature was disable by default. By curiosity I try to make desktop_is_home_dir = true and I got the problem I had on the first count. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
