1. I am still not getting anything, /var/spool/mail/root remains zero-length,
and yet /etc/cron.daily contains a script displaying the date/time on stdout,
and "Yast2 => System => etc/sysconfig editor => System => Cron =>
SEND_MAIL_ON_NO_ERROR" is still set at "yes".
2. Do I really need an LDAP server for internal mail (i.e. mail from cron to
root, not going over any network)? AFAIK, under openSUSE 11.1 I had none, and
my cron mail was dutifully delivered every night. So:
- What should I do to make an LDAP server unnecessary (and maybe which
packages to uninstall)?
- If there's no way I can dispense with it, how can I configure it?
