11.1 xorg.conf
- uses radeon driver,
- monitor is "LGPHILIPSLCD LCD MONITOR" with resolution set to "1400x1050",
while size of the monitor is 305x228 mm which is 380 mm diagonal or 15". The
aspect ratio is 4:3, but 1400x1050 to me appear as a bit high.
11.2 xorg.conf
- uses vesa driver,
- monitor is generic "1024X768@60HZ" while resolution is still set to
1400x1050.
Both have set
Virtual 3840 1200
which keeps CPU and GPU busy doing something that you don't see. Remove it and
graphic performance will jump to the sky.
Using aging SaX2 sometimes creates problems instead to solve them.
My recomendation is to install radeon driver from:
http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/X11:/XOrg:/11.2/openSUSE_11.2/
move xorg.conf to the safe place and restart computer without it. It should
work, at least it works for the other.
