Sorry for the delay! I had openSUSE de-installed to test something else. Now I
am back in action.
The problem is obviously one that occurs only if an external database is being
accessed and two or more related tables are to be referenced simultaneously in
a query or form.
I am attaching two base files.
Base file 'Automobiles': This was created with a previous version of openSUSE,
probably version 11.2-RC1. following the instructions in the tutorial. It
worked then. Now, in order to test against this final release, I created two
tables and a query 'CompanyContact' from them, using the QueryDesiner. It
worked fine.
Please note: The database is the internal database of openOffice.
Base file 'hildy': Both query and form "CompanyContact' were created when
running version 11.2-RC1. It worked then very well, and I can still access
these without problem.
To test again now, I created query "cost_con" from a single table.
This worked fine. Any attempt to create a query from two related tables failed,
openOffice simply crashed without leaving a trace.
In this case, I am attached to a mySQL database on an external server, which
runs on our company LAN.
I hope this helps, though it lacks the data from the LAN server, and there is
probably no trace of any of the attempts to create a query with related tables.
Let me know if I can be of any additional help.
Regards, Egbert
