--- Comment #6 from Johannes Meixner 2009-12-11 17:22:36 UTC ---
Added URIpercentDecoding function in connectionwizard.ycp
which does the opposite of the URIpercentEncoding function
and is used to un-do percent encoding for the values
which are used for various test_remote_* scripts which
fixes hopefully this bug.
If some test_remote_* scripts work better with percent
encoded values, it is very simple now to just remove
the URIpercentDecoding call for the particular values
in the testQueue function in connectionwizard.ycp.
Fixed in yast2-printer SVN revision 60085.
Now smbclient is called for example like:
/usr/bin/smbclient '//server name/printer share name' \
'johns pass word' -c 'print -' -U 'john jane doe' -W 'work group'
I still wonder if smbclient works at all with spaces
in its values - currently I cannot test it because I do not
have an environment where such values are actually used.
Luther Blissett,
it is important for me that you test and provide feedback
how smbclient works for you with spaces in its values
and/or if it also works with percent encoded values like
/usr/bin/smbclient '//server%20name/printer%20share%20name' \
'johns%20pass%20word' -c 'print -' -U 'john%20jane%20doe' \
-W 'work%20group'
