I'm afraid not. Maybe we can implement something which monitors activity and
issue a read command if the device stays idle for a while so that it never goes
to sleep but I don't think it's something we can push upstream. A temporary
solution would be running "dd if=/dev/sda of=/dev/null bs=512 count=1
iflag=direct" or whatever command to keep the drive loaded from userland but
device idleness can't be detected easily from userland. :-(
