ReiserFS should be usable as a /boot file system too. I'm looking into it as low priority. The grub reiserfs block map lookup algorithm is a textbook example of bad algorithm design.
IMhO this is an upstream problem with hibernation, because it leaves the filesystem in a state where the journal has to be replied by the boot loader. Ideally, that shouldn't happen, but fixing this would require us to introduce something like "filesystem suspend", which is kind of tricky.
May I suggest that, having all filesystems apply the journal before hibernation seems a good idea, in any case? Hibernation is always risky, specially when trying a new machine; if it fails, having to fsck everything afterwards is really a pain. Or if suspending to ram, the battery can fail. Same situation. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
