http://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=560411 http://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=560411#c0 Summary: File association does not work for .tex files in Firefox 3.5.5 with vim Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 11.2 Version: Final Platform: Other OS/Version: openSUSE 11.2 Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Firefox AssignedTo: bnc-team-mozilla@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: mattm3a@yahoo.com QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: --- Blocker: --- User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.9.1.5) Gecko/20091103 SUSE/3.5.5-1.1.2 Firefox/3.5.5 In Firefox 3.5.5, I associated the .tex file with vim. While Firefox successfully opens the .tex file with vim, it does not on future .tex files. This happens even though vim is listed as the default application. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.Click on a .tex link in Firefox, for example http://media.texample.net/tikz/examples/TEX/inertial-navigation-system.tex 2.Choose gvim (Utilities->Editor->vim) 3.Click "remember application association for this file type" 4.Click Ok 5.Open another .tex file (for example, the same one as above again). 6.Firefox lists vim as the default choice. Click Ok to open with vim. Actual Results: Firefox requests that you choose the helper application again. Expected Results: Firefox opens tex file with vim. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
