Hmm, that is not easy to solve. I'm pretty sure the default is "Download" for you because of XDG setup for your language. Firefox respects the XDG settings and saves to what is defined within XDG. So now if you choose Download (the xdg defined one) as download folder, Firefox recognizes that it actually is the default download folder set initially and sets a description "Downloads". So the string Downloads is not the actual name of the directory as it's predefined. That's not really a bug therefore and there is no easy way to synchronize the string in the UI with the actual path being used. If XDG wouldn't be used the both strings are the same what we make sure already but once it's using a localized name they can and in most cases will differ anyway. If you think it should really be improved we have to report that upstream but it might make more sense if you do it than having it proxied by me. Is it possible for you to report that in bugzilla.mozilla.org? If so, please let us know the bugnumber here.
I am not sure if you understand what I trying to explain, let me try again: I forgot to tell that the default language I have used to install openSUSE 11.2 RC2 was English. openSUSE creates the following folder automaticly on install in the userhome directory : /home/myname/Download and not /home/myname/Downloads The bug I am refering to was the default openSUSE 11.2 RC2 settings on install, using the English language setting. Also to be sure, I have checked it out on a fresh install of openSUSE 11.2 RC2 which used the Dutch language settings. After installing there is a directory created in the home directory named: /home/myname/Downloads When I open the Firefox Preference Dialog, the path "Save Files to:" is set correctly to "Downloads" -> /home/myname/Downloads So it appears to happen only after installing openSUSE 11.2 RC2 using the English language setting, that there is a directory created named "/home/myname/Download", while Firefox is shows that the "Saved Files to:" directory is named "Downloads" -- Configure bugmail: http://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
