After starting apache2 there is a file "session_mm_apache2handler0.sem" in root directory. File is written by apache, at startup, only readable and writeable by root, it should be written in the session save path. session.save_path should be uncommented and set to "/var/lib/php5". in /etc/php5/apache2/php.ini .
