When doing the pairing: i moved the mouse (mouse wakes from sleep mode & tries
to re-initiate connection) waited a little while - didn't auto pair (takes
about 4 seconds normally). then made the computer discoverable (non persistent
option setting), then the mouse paired automatically.
opensuse 11.2's bluez 4.19 (i think) was the last one to work, although i
remember the mouse breaking briefly in suse 10.2.
Oh, some info about the dongle: it will remember pairings between boots &
emulate usb kb & mouse - when it last stopped working, i found that disabling
bluetooth in linux entirely and doing the pairing in windows gave basic
keyboard & mouse functionality.
