I'm the OP, so a few more details.
I've now run wagon about 3 times. In each case I left the 11.1 repos in place
and did NOT add any 11.2 repos.
Thus all that I assume should have happened was the latest packages from my
various repos should have been updated.
The first time I tried with the ncurses interface and it segfaulted as shown in
this bugzilla. I rebooted and was able to rerun "yast2 wagon". the 2nd and
3rd time I ran it from the QT interface and it ran to completion.
The second time it updated all my packages as expected. The third time it
found only a couple packages and updated them.
In all three efforts I was presented with the registration dialog box. I
attempted each time to register now, but the process never worked.
So if the segfault was caused by the registration process and it is no longer
an appropriate part of the workflow it would be great to get it gone.
fyi: I have been trying to document the wagon upgrade to 11.2 from 11.1
process.
See http://en.opensuse.org/Wagon.
Per the very basic wagon instructions I found as the skeleton to build that
page, wagon from the 11.1 repo is used to perform the upgrade.
That seems wrong to me and that wagon and zypper should both be pulled from the
11.2 repo prior to running wagon. If someone would confirm that, I'll fix the
Wagon wiki entry.
Thanks
