Scenario 1:
User asks: "How do I play mp3 with Amarok?"
Normally you'd respond: "add packman repository and update libxine1" - but now
you have to additionally explain step-by-step about the Versions tab or
zypp.conf - as if the pre 11.2 situation wasn't difficult enough.
The user will of course intuitively respond "Why the fsck does the package
manager hide upgrades and make them so laborous to install!?11!"
To this you can answer with a long story about vendor change policy and packman
QA or you could say "I wish I knew, but I guess openSUSE just doesn't want to
succeed".
Scenario 2:
User asks "I've added [insert Mozilla, OOo, or any random obs repo] via
'community repositories', but the package manager shows no updates, why doesn't
YaST work?"
Again you have to explain about the Versions tab, zypp.conf, vendor change
policy, Packman QA, and whatnot.
After this, the user goes and installs Ubuntu instead.
