--- Comment #23 from Anniyka Wandersmann 2009-09-25 08:52:54 MDT ---
Sorry, just saw that here is raid 0 discussion, nonetheless I think its all
relateted ...
linux:/ # rpm -qf /lib/mkinitrd/scripts/setup-dm.sh
device-mapper-1.02.31-7.6.x86_64
linux:/ # rpm -qf /lib/mkinitrd/scripts/setup-lvm2.sh
lvm2-2.02.45-8.1.x86_64
linux:/ # rpm -qf /lib/mkinitrd/scripts/setup-dm.sh
device-mapper-1.02.31-7.6.x86_64
Well ...
Ok, I mad an initrd by putting all needed (I think so) and more modules into
/etc/sysconfig/kernel:
INITRD_MODULES="processor thermal fan xfs raid456 async_xor async_memcpy
async_tx raid6_pq xor sr_mod amd74xx pata_amd sata_nv ata_generic sg ide_core
ide_gd_mod ide_cd_mod ide_pci_generic dm_mod edd raid1"
Than I put in another line in /lib/mkinitrd/scripts/setup-block.sh, I added
md*)
echo dm_mod
;;
in function get_devmodule() ( easy to see where ;) )
Then I run mkinitrd:
linux:/ # mkinitrd -d /dev/vg00/root
Kernel image: /boot/vmlinuz-2.6.31-rc9-7-default
Initrd image: /boot/initrd-2.6.31-rc9-7-default

Nonetheless I tried to boot and run into the annoying fact that no lvm was
started (so no rootdevice) .. I think this ist something that should be in
/lib/mkinitrd/scripts/setup-lvm2.sh?
regards,
anniyka
