http://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=535713 Summary: copy and paste of thousands of cells fails when trying to switch spreadsheets using taskbar without waiting Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 11.1 Version: Final Platform: x86 OS/Version: openSUSE 11.1 Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: OpenOffice.org AssignedTo: bnc-team-ooo@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: mattm3a@yahoo.com QAContact: kyu@novell.com Found By: --- User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.9.1.2) Gecko/20090730 SUSE/3.5.2-1.2 Firefox/3.5.2 A copy and paste of many thousand cells fails when trying to switch from from one OpenOffice 3.0.0 spreadsheet to another very soon after initiating the copy. If the user waits for a significant time after initiating the copy, the paste will succeed. Reproducible: Sometimes Steps to Reproduce: 1. Open two spreadsheets, one with lots of data (many thousands of cells) and the other empty 2. Highlight lots (many thousands) of cells and copy (doesn't matter whether from ctrl+c or menu) 3. Immediately (without waiting!) try to switch to other spreadsheet using the taskbar 4. Paste (doesn't matter whether from ctrl+v or menu) Actual Results: There's a delay while trying to switch to the second spreadsheet. When trying to paste, nothing happens. Expected Results: The copied cells are expected to be pasted into the spreadsheet. Ideally, there should also not be such a noticeable delay when trying to perform the copy operation. If you wait many seconds after copying, you can successfully switch using the taskbar and paste. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
