Yes, the kernel changes all the time, it comes from upstream, and is an open
source project.

Because of changes in it, closed source kernel modules will break all the time.
If this is a problem, please contact the owners of those kernel modules, they
are the ones responsible for fixing them, it is NOT the responsibility of the
kernel developers to resolve this due to the licensing issues involved.

Relying on closed source kernel modules for FACTORY is not a good idea, and
does not work, as you have found out.

Again, nothing that we can do about this, this is a well known, and well
documented issue.
