Sorry, in this case - home built kernel - no support ;-)
I am part of the Kernel team so not terribly surprising ;) But, I can reproduce with kernel-default too: Linux version 2.6.31-rc7-4-default (geeko@buildhost) (gcc version 4.4.1 [gcc-4_4-branch revision 150839] (SUSE Linux) ) #1 SMP 2009-08-24 17:40:12 +0200
You could hack pm-utils to make the smart-suspend check more intelligent or just do
echo "S2RAM_OPTS='-f'" > /etc/pm/config.d/suspend
`pm-suspend` work OK with no parameters BTW.
Another thing: even when i915 is built into the kernel, why is there no /sys/module/i915 directory? Isn't this a kernel bug? (the existence of this directory is used by pm-utils to find out if i915 is loaded).
Even with my custom kernel, where i915 is built in, /sys/module/i915 exists. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
