http://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=534850 Summary: [Virtualization:KVM] qemu-kvm using /usr/share/qemu for bios searchpath Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE.org Version: unspecified Platform: x86-64 OS/Version: SuSE Other Status: NEW Severity: Critical Priority: P5 - None Component: 3rd party software AssignedTo: agraf@novell.com ReportedBy: jmcdonough@novell.com QAContact: opensuse-communityscreening@forge.provo.novell.com Found By: Development as the qemu-svn package seems to have lost the extboot.bin bios file, even though it exists in the kvm package under /usr/share/qemu-kvm, qemu-kvm is looking for it in the /usr/share/qemu directory and not finding it. If i specify the /usr/share/qemu-kvm directory, it finds the file. I think it should be searching there by default. output: # /usr/bin/qemu-kvm -S -M pc -m 512 -smp 1 -name sles10sp3 -uuid 9b4e0f08-3e58-8d33-36c8-5ebfbeed26ae -localtime -no-reboot -boot c -drive file=/home/vm/disks/sles10sp3.img,if=ide,index=0,boot=on -drive file=/home/vm/isos/SLES-10-SP3-DVD-x86_64-Beta2-DVD1.iso,if=ide,media=cdrom,index=2 -serial none -parallel none -usb -vnc 127.0.0.1:0 -k en-us Could not load option rom 'extboot.bin' This exists both in the factory-oss package and the Virtualization:KVM obs package. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
