I think I'm having similar problems, although the grub entry I lost was the one
for Milestone 6 after I did 'zypper up' to the 2.6.31-rc6-3 kernel. I still
have the entry for my two 11.1 installs on sda2 and sda5. Selecting sda2 takes
me to a second grub screen where I have sda4 listed (which is where Milestone 6
should be) but the kernel that's listed is for an old install of 11.1.
It doesn't matter which entry I select to boot because it just takes me back to
the original grub screen with sda2 as the only one that will boot. I tried
using the super grub disc to boot from and it did find an entry for 2.6.31,
both default and desktop but they had a .gz extension. None of these kernels
would boot anyway. Either I got a 'invalid magic number' error or 'couldn't
find the kernel'. Or something like that.
