http://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=534120 Summary: Can't change Compiz settings on Gnome desktop Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 11.2 Version: Milestone 6 Platform: x86-64 OS/Version: SuSE Other Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Compiz AssignedTo: bnc-team-compiz@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: znmeb@cesmail.net QAContact: ories@novell.com Found By: Beta-Customer I installed the OS from scratch on a system from the 11.2 Milestone 6 DVD. /home, where my user account is installed, was *not* reformatted! I am trying to get Compiz running. Neither CompizConfig Settings Manager nor Desktop Effects applications work -- they look like they are starting, but they never come up on the desktop. I went to the command line to try to start them and this is what I got: znmeb@DreamScape:~> simple-ccsm --help Traceback (most recent call last): File "/usr/bin/simple-ccsm", line 30, in <module> import compizconfig as ccs ImportError: /usr/lib64/libcompizconfig.so.0: undefined symbol: XStringToKeysym znmeb@DreamScape:~> ccsm --help Info: No sexy-python package found, don't worry it's optional. Traceback (most recent call last): File "/usr/bin/ccsm", line 99, in <module> import compizconfig ImportError: /usr/lib64/libcompizconfig.so.0: undefined symbol: XStringToKeysym znmeb@DreamScape:~> Hope that helps -- I'm lost at this point. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
