http://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=533895 Summary: Partitioner does not recognize software raid Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 11.2 Version: Milestone 6 Platform: x86-64 OS/Version: Other Status: NEW Severity: Minor Priority: P5 - None Component: Installation AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: fwein@web.de QAContact: jsrain@novell.com Found By: --- User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; Intel Mac OS X 10.5; de; rv:1.9.1.2) Gecko/20090729 Firefox/3.5.2 I have a system with two identical hdds with identical partions. I do a new installation of 11.2 M6 (want to use md2 as system partition) * sd(a|b)1 4 GB swap from 11.1 * sd*2 md1 / 20 GB from 11.1 * sd*3 md2 - 20 GB not mounted * sd*4 md3 /home 400 GB from 11.1 The installer ist not smart about this configuration at all. He wants to format and use the partions on sda. It would be hard to correct the suggested mess via "Edit Partitions" but it is easy and straight forward to choose md2 as new system via "Create Partitions".
