http://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=532444 Summary: KIWI-ltsp -- config.<mac address> no longer works to assign separate config parameters to thin clients Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 11.1 Version: Final Platform: All OS/Version: openSUSE 11.1 Status: NEW Severity: Minor Priority: P5 - None Component: Other AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: sass.joel@gmail.com QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: --- User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.9.0.13) Gecko/2009080316 Ubuntu/8.04 (hardy) Firefox/3.0.13 This happened after the last update pertaining to kiwi. Once the client image is rebuilt after completing the updates, it no longer has the ability to use /srv/tftpboot/KIWI/config.<mac address> files. It will only work with /srv/tftpboot/KIWI/config.default . Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Update openSUSE 11.1 2. rebuild client image with command ltsp-kiwi-setup -c 3. booting thin clients using default.<mac address> no longer work properly. Actual Results: config.<mac address> files were no longer read by the thin clients with those corresponding MAC addresses. Expected Results: The config.<MAC address> files should have been read on boot like they have been prior to the update. A workaround is to use the config.default to do everything. Not a big deal to fix, but the discovery process was a pain. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
