Your kernel works out of the box with my Quickcam, even in 64bits. But I had to install using --nodeps this rpm depends on perl-bootloader etc. can anyone understand, why it takes year to get it into mainstream kernel????
I talked with upstream and they won't take the patch because the quickcam driver has been scheduled for removal because it only supports V4L1. For this camera to continue to work in to 11.2 you will need to use gspca_stv06xx.ko. I would greatly appreciate if you could test the kernel of the day from 11.2 to ensure the camera will work in 11.2: 1) Add the and enable the following URL to your repository list using Yast: http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/Kernel:/HEAD/openSUSE_Factory/ 2) Install the latest kernel-default package.
