Sorry for answering so late. Believe me or not, KInternet is still the best
solution for Dial-In-network-connections. Especially for ISDN-users, there are
no alternatives ! KPPP only supports modem-devices and KNetworkManager still
can't handle ANY dial-in-connections.
For the future, it would be desirable to get the job done by KNetworkManager,
but I guess this will not happen until one of those poor
dial-in-connection-junkies stands up and implements it himself...;-)
However, I recently noticed that there is a Qt4-port of KInternet called
QInternet. It integrates much better with KDE4 and works fine for me, but I'm
not sure about it's state of development.
I will talk to the developers to find out and keep you up to date...
