I had a problem after installing alsa drivers and daily snapshoot, whenever i was using test command: speaker-test -Dplug:front -c2 -l5 -twav or speaker-test -c2 -l5 -twav the sound was repeating itself like front front front front and that's all where it was suppose to say front right and left. even few alerts were giving problem in messengers. Then finally i added options snd-hda-intel enable_msi=1 in /etc/modprobe.d/sound by the advice of oldcpu (Global Moderator in OpenSUSE FORUMS) and it worked out. I hope the next alsa updade will fix this bug :) Just for the users if they search this problem on Bugzilla, find the post below: http://forums.opensuse.org/hardware/laptop/419221-compaq-cq40-304tu-drivers-... Thanks Alot. Reproducible: Didn't try Steps to Reproduce: 1. 2. 3. Actual Results: It works great. I can hear front left and front right from the test command, haven't tried aplay -vv somefile.wav, neither do i think it's necessary now :) Expected Results: Hope next time it will work out of the box :) -- Configure bugmail: http://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
