http://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=527910 Summary: X.org radeon driver not able to enter DRI mode after Kernel upgrade top 2.6.31 Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 11.2 Version: Factory Platform: i586 OS/Version: SuSE Other Status: NEW Severity: Major Priority: P5 - None Component: X.Org AssignedTo: bnc-team-xorg-bugs@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: tittiatcoke@gmail.com QAContact: xorg-maintainer-bugs@forge.provo.novell.com Found By: --- User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-GB; rv:1.9.1.2) Gecko/20090730 SUSE/3.5.2-105.1 Firefox/3.5.2 The version of the radeon drivers in kernel 2.6.31 went up to 2.0.0. Due to some strange programming in the radeon driver, this is seen as a lower version than the required 1.8.0. This initially stopped the driver from activating DRI. With a small patch and the OBS, I managed to recompile the xorg-drivers-video, but now it comes up with the following error: drmOpenByBusid: drmGetBusid reports pci:0000:01:00.0 (II) [drm] DRM interface version 1.3 (II) [drm] DRM open master succeeded. (II) RADEON(0): [drm] Using the DRM lock SAREA also for drawables.
