--- Comment #4 from Dominique Leuenberger 2009-07-29 03:06:56 MDT ---
I now have a package for the 'new' 0.10.1 branch which brings back the
GStreamer backend (Kudos to the author to make this happen so fast).
Magnus, as you know Gstreamer maybe a bit better: Any idea what is needed for
this to work? (If I use the command line against gst-launch, I often run into a
segfault on Factory, rendering it rather useless so far).
so, I would be glad if you could:
- Test me-tv package (you probably won't get image, like I do with the gst
backend).
- while me-tv is 'playing' (it uses a fifo) try to attach with gst-launch to
that fifo to be able to rule out any issues with the me-tv app itself.
(- alternatively you can also attach to the fifo using VLC, to test if the fifo
actually delivers data).
Once we get gstreamer to work, we should be able to make it work within me-tv
directly.
