http://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=524910 Summary: python does not distinguish sitearch and sitelib Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 11.2 Version: Factory Platform: Other OS/Version: Other Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Basesystem AssignedTo: jmatejek@novell.com ReportedBy: lnussel@novell.com QAContact: qa@suse.de CC: dmueller@novell.com, cfarrell@novell.com Found By: --- According to the docu of get_python_lib in distutils.sysconfig it should return an architeture independent path when the first parameter is omitted or false and arch specific if the parameter is true. This works on Fedora but on SUSE both are the same: $ python -c 'from distutils.sysconfig import get_python_lib; print "arch: ",get_python_lib(True),"\nlib: ",get_python_lib(False)' arch: /usr/lib64/python2.6/site-packages lib: /usr/lib64/python2.6/site-packages Also we only have the rpm macro %py_libdir but which is arch specific but no arch independen macro. Therefore even pure python packages can't be noarch. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
