http://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=522927 Summary: Dolphin/KDE4 cut/paste data loss on full drive, NON copied files were also deleted when after omit option Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 11.1 Version: Final Platform: i686 OS/Version: openSUSE 11.1 Status: NEW Severity: Critical Priority: P5 - None Component: KDE4 Applications AssignedTo: kde-maintainers@suse.de ReportedBy: rcornet@gmail.com QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: --- User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.9.0.11) Gecko/2009060200 SUSE/3.0.11-0.1.1 Firefox/3.0.11 I missjugged the available space on a external usb harddrive. tried to move 2GB but the available space was 1.5 GB. 3 large files could not be copied due to lack of space on the harddrive. Dolphin displayed the message omit/omit automatically. I presses " omit" the first time and 'omit automatically" the second. The files were NOT copied because of this and obviously the lack of available space on the external harddrive. But the files were DELETED from their original locations, with only the containing empty folders being copied to the destination. This containing folders with their contents were missing on the origin hard-drive. Truly sad experience. Using latest build KDE 4.2.96 (KDE 4.2.96 (KDE 4.3 RC2)) "release 142" Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.Select folders with files with greater size than available space on destination. 2.Cut and paste on destination 3.Select omit option 4.Watch the omitted files vanish. Actual Results: Lost files Expected Results: Preserved the omitted files on their original location -- Configure bugmail: http://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
