For a number of reasons (including the fact that my network connection broke at least once and zypper automatically restarted from scratch) a package that large really should be split. Per a discussion on opensuse-factory, Debian splits at least docs and some fonts (http://packages.debian.org/source/sid/texlive-base) and according to Ludwig Nussel 90% of what we currently have in the package are fonts. I am aware of Bug #507046, but splitting will not just help with down- loads but also allow to optionally skip certain aspects for certain builds _and_ user installations. Right now it is all or nothing, and both Coolo for the ISOs and me as user are forced towards this all or nothing which does not seem right. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
