http://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=521341 Summary: the "search" in the KDE menu is very, very slow for the first time. Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 11.2 Version: Milestone 3 Platform: Other OS/Version: Other Status: NEW Severity: Major Priority: P5 - None Component: KDE4 Workspace AssignedTo: kde-maintainers@suse.de ReportedBy: psikodad@gmx.de QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: --- Created an attachment (id=304564) --> (http://bugzilla.novell.com/attachment.cgi?id=304564) ogg video of the test User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux x86_64; de; rv:1.9.1.0) Gecko/20090623 SUSE/3.5.0-7.1 Firefox/3.5 The "search" of KDE's "Kickoff Application Launcher" is very slow. Interestingly, it works with normal speed after passing the "steps to reproduce", clearing the search field and re-opening the Launcher. Maybe it's building an search index at the first time. (I'm guessing...) Moreover, the CPU usage is always very low. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. boot KDE live CD 2. open KDE "Kickoff Application Launcher" 3. type "randr" in the search field. Actual Results: It takes 210 seconds to type "randr". Expected Results: it shouldn't take so long. :-) it's a regression from Milestone 2. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
