If a wireless network drops, it cannot by reestablished. /var/log/messages shows the following (repeating for different frequencies): Jun 22 19:04:01 triona kernel: ath5k phy0: noise floor calibration timeout (2412 MHz) Jun 22 19:04:34 triona kernel: ath5k phy0: ath5k_chan_set: unable to reset chann el (2412 Mhz) Jun 22 19:04:34 triona kernel: wlan0: failed to set freq to 2412 MHz for scan The only way to get wifi back is to power cycle the machine.
