I do not confirm this is a low priority bug. I have two profiles (home/office)
whereby in the home office environment I use static IP-Addresses in the office
environment DCHP is enabled. Every time I switch from profile business to home
I must manually changed the resove.conf because the nameserver entries left
from the business environment. The switch from home to business works well.
A call of 'rcnetwork restart' has no effect but if I call
Yast->Network->Configure Card change nothing but commit all the DNS entries
corrected.
The following I already tried unsuccessfully:
- remove resolve.conf from SCPM Network Group
- change resolve.conf in a way it is not further created by the netconfig.
I used the same configuration with opensuse 11.0 without any problems. The
behaviour changed when I updated from 11.0 to 11.1
At my point of view this is not a low priority bug because users whitout deep
knowledge about opensuse will fail to use SCPM with two different network
configurations.
Enviroment:
- Opensuse 11.1 (newest packages)
- Dell Laptop with wireless (disabled in the business environment, enabled in
the home environment if no cable is attached). I guess a typical configuration.
If you need any additional infos please let me know.
