http://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=511272 Summary: hp-systray sometimes loses its mind and goes into an infinite loop Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 11.1 Version: Final Platform: x86-64 OS/Version: Other Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Printing AssignedTo: jsmeix@novell.com ReportedBy: jnelson-suse@jamponi.net QAContact: jsmeix@novell.com Found By: --- User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686 (x86_64); en-US; rv:1.9.0.10) Gecko/2009042700 SUSE/3.0.10-1.1.1 Firefox/3.0.10 Every now and again (perhaps after suspend + resume?) hp-systray loses its mind and sucks up all the CPU. An strace shows this: select(6, [5], [], [5], {1, 0}) = 1 (in [5], left {1, 0}) read(5, "", 236) = 0 select(6, [5], [], [5], {1, 0}) = 1 (in [5], left {1, 0}) read(5, "", 236) = 0 select(6, [5], [], [5], {1, 0}) = 1 (in [5], left {1, 0}) read(5, "", 236) = 0 select(6, [5], [], [5], {1, 0}) = 1 (in [5], left {1, 0}) read(5, "", 236) = 0 a read which returns 0 is never going to return anything else, so this is a logic bug. In the meantime, my CPU is going all-out and eating up my battery.
