http://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=511269 Summary: xorg-x11-server-extra package needs split Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 11.1 Version: Final Platform: Other OS/Version: Other Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: X11 Applications AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: cyberorg@opensuse.org QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: --- User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.9.0.10) Gecko/2009042700 SUSE/3.0.10-1.1.1 Firefox/3.0.10 Xdmx is provided by two packages, they both get installed without conflict. I suggest re/moving /usr/bin/Xdmx from xorg-x11-server-extra package to it's own package: xorg-x11-server-dmx rpm -qf /usr/bin/Xdmx xorg-x11-server-extra-7.4-17.7.6 xorg-x11-server-dmx-7.3.99-29.4 (from home:dreveman:nomad) The problem it creates is if -extra gets installed after -dmx, it overwrites /usr/bin/Xdmx breaking nomad. Both the packages are needed, as -extra provides Xephyr we require for sugar-emulator.
